Two sets of muffled footsteps echoed through the dim corridor, sometimes heavy, sometimes light.

Once his eyes adjusted, the first thing he saw was a red gauze curtain concealing the room beyond.
Behind that curtain, which was large enough to screen the entire room, a beautifully curved silhouette appeared indistinctly. An alluring presence actually permeated the air, tugging at his heartstrings.
