The street lay empty and silent. Only the streetlights drove back the darkness, offering a little light.

The streetlights still stood. The road bore no craters from lightning strikes, no claw marks left by bloody talons. It was as if nothing had happened.

A figure stood at the center of the intersection, tall and lean beneath the streetlights. His strange, alluring crimson eyes gleamed as three black Tomoe slowly revolved within them.

Reflected in those crimson eyes was a black bat, frozen in the street ahead.

The black bat remained motionless in the middle of the road. Oddly, pain flickered across his face, then anger. At last, his mouth split into a crazed grin, as though something had delighted him.

Mo Xie gave a soft snort, watching the ridiculous spectacle with amusement. The crimson faded from his eyes, leaving them their normal color. Then he snapped his fingers.

Looks like this vampire is lost in the Genjutsu. How pathetic... Time to end this farce.

At the snap, Nie Dong seemed to wake from a dream. He raised his head in confusion and looked around.

When he saw Mo Xie standing at the intersection ahead, his expression froze. He roared in disbelief.
