After Aunt Wen left, Mo Xie looked at Tang Yue's flushed face.

The blush on her cheeks had yet to fade. Her hands rested one atop the other in her lap, and she looked almost shy.

"Aunt Wen said some strange things just now. Please don't take them to heart."

Mo Xie gave Tang Yue an apologetic smile, hoping she wouldn't mind.

Tang Yue was still embarrassed. Unable to meet his eyes, she lowered her head and quietly drank her tea.

Aunt Wen thought for a moment before continuing.

"How about this? Your dad can pay for this meal whenever he has time."

After she put it that way, Mo Xie thought it over and gave in. He would let his dad worry about it.

"Aunt Wen, how are things going with my dad lately?"

Mo Xie stopped arguing about the bill and teased her with a smile instead.

"Him? He's as dense as you are."

Aunt Wen laughed softly, then sighed.

"How am I dense?"

Mo Xie scratched his head, not understanding what she meant.

At the mention of it, a happy smile spread across Aunt Wen's face.

"Really? Not bad at all."

"Enough about me.
