The next morning, the two of them visited Tang Yue's parents.
"Uncle, Auntie, sorry to trouble you again."
"Oh, don't call it trouble! We're not strangers!"
"That's right. We're family. Don't just stand at the door—come in."
Tang Yi and Tang Wanlian were as welcoming as ever, ushering Mo Xie inside while Tang Yue thoughtfully brought out a pair of slippers.
They walked into the living room and were surprised to find someone else sitting on the sofa.
"Heh, Little Evil, Yueyue, you're here."
"Uncle, what are you doing here?"
Tang Yue looked at Tang Zhong in surprise.
"It's rare for the whole family to get together. Of course I came. Besides, I wanted to talk to Little Evil about a few things."
Tang Zhong rose with a smile, clearly delighted to see Mo Xie.
Reading the room, Tang Wanlian led Tang Yue into the kitchen and left the living room to the three men.
As Tang Yue washed the vegetables, her mind drifted to her sweet moments with Mo Xie. Then she heard Tang Wanlian ask a question.
"Yueyue, you and Little Evil have... slept together, haven't you?"
"Mm... huh?!"
Distracted, Tang Yue nodded before she had fully registered the question.
When it sank in, she froze. The vegetables slipped from her hands into the sink, and she stared at her mother in alarm, hurriedly shaking her head.
"No way, Mom, I—"
Before Tang Yue could finish, Tang Wanlian glanced at her. Without pausing her chopping, she cut in calmly.
"Don't rush to deny it. Your father's too oblivious to notice, but I've been through it myself. How could I miss the state you're in? You can barely walk properly."
Caught out, Tang Yue could no longer deny it. She pressed her lips together and nodded, her cheeks burning.
