After that incident, Mo Xie and Tang Yue had grown much closer. At least, that was how Tang Yue saw it.

They still bickered often, but she felt less distance between them.

What troubled Mo Xie was that Tang Yue used their newfound closeness as an excuse to keep pestering him to come to school.

He could not understand why she was so determined to make him attend, and he had every intention of resisting to the end.

Unfortunately, her offensive proved too strong. A few times, he gave in and went to school with her.

His classmates were puzzled. Why had Mo Xie started showing up more often this semester?

They did not dwell on it, though. They would gladly have him come more often; chances to get close to the Evil Emperor were rare.

The teachers knew a little more about what was going on. They could not help admiring Teacher Tang Yue's methods. She had actually managed to bring someone as formidable as Mo Xie to school and boost his attendance. She was incredible!

If some of the younger male teachers knew that the woman of their dreams had personally gone to Mo Xie's home to corner him, they would probably be green with envy.

The second semester of their first year was nearing its end, and the students would face an Annual Assessment before the term was over.

The day before the Annual Assessment, their homeroom teacher, Xue Musheng, explained the rules to the class.
