Mount Kunyu had always been a renowned mountain in Yantai. Southwest of it lay Outer Kunyu Mountain, where Demon Beasts made their home.
Inner Kunyu Mountain lay within the Safe Zone. It was a relatively well-preserved natural ecological reserve protected by the government and the Magic Association.

If a Healing Element mage used a Bone-Setting Flask alongside their magic, the effects improved dramatically, allowing complete recovery on the spot.
Thus, even if it required deploying large numbers of mages, the government had to hold fast to the precious land of Inner Kunyu Mountain so that Bone-Setting Flasks could continue to reach the market.
Outer Kunyu Mountain, southwest of Inner Kunyu Mountain, was Demon Beast territory. It was a major Demon Beast mountain range, and a Kunyu Mountain Beast King was said to dwell within it, with strength rivaling that of the Silver Dome Lord entrenched in West Ridge.
