A man, a woman, and a ghost crossed the black earth. The ground ahead rose into stone steps like a path up to an ancient castle, and farther on, a broad white staircase came into view!
The staircase was over two hundred meters wide. Each step was sized for a human stride, but reaching the Tomb Palace would still take time. The stairs climbed so high that they seemed to lead straight up to a cliff in the sky...
There were three white jade staircases, each of them long. Even without counting the steps, they appeared to stretch some five hundred meters.
The two of them and the ghost began climbing. At least, no matter how erratically the rain of corpses fell from the sky, none landed on the white Tomb Palace.
The Tomb Palace's whiteness looked out of place in this filthy world of corpse stench and bones. If its pallor had not been so eerie, convincing them that something even more terrifying lived inside, it might have passed for a sanctuary amid the filth.
Mo Xie looked toward the bone-white Tomb Palace, then caught sight of the Nine Nether Queen ahead. Her round, pert backside swayed gently as she walked, tempting him to take a bite.
The tassels at her hem swayed with each step, as though playing a silent melody. Beneath them, her jade-white legs gleamed, making him want to reach out and touch them.
Just then, Asharuiya slipped out a hand, pinched the soft flesh at Mo Xie's waist, and gave it a vicious twist.
At the pain, Mo Xie turned to her in surprise. Anger colored her pretty face as she pressed her lips together and demanded in a low voice,
"You said you didn't want to sleep with her. Where are you looking?"
