Nagato had not expected that answer. He stared at Orochimaru in bewilderment.
He pulled Yahiko aside and whispered, "Can we trust this man, Yahiko? I have a feeling he's dangerous!"
Nagato's instincts were usually right, but Yahiko had brought this man back. He could not dismiss him outright.
Yahiko knew Orochimaru was dangerous, but he nodded anyway. "We can trust him because he wants something from us. Just keep your distance from him!"
The contradiction made Nagato's brows knit tightly.
He caught on at once. "What were his terms? Yahiko, what did you promise him?"
Yahiko was touched by Nagato's concern. He smiled.
"Nothing to worry about. He wants us to hand over any future intruders in Kumogakure to him. We're not to interfere."
Chapter 506: Kumogakure's Moves
Nagato froze when he heard that, then nodded and said no more.
He respected Yahiko's decision and did not want to press him. Still, he resolved to keep a closer eye on Orochimaru.
And so Orochimaru successfully entered the Akatsuki as a spy.
Orochimaru knew this was only the beginning. The truly difficult part still lay ahead.
After Uchiha Yin returned from seeing Third, he received word that Orochimaru had entered Amegakure.
He could not help admiring Orochimaru's efficiency.
But another piece of news that arrived with it left Uchiha Yin far less pleased.
Raikage appeared to be making a move. A number of ninja had left Raikage Tower and were heading toward Konoha.
Kushina was beside Uchiha Yin when he heard the news. The cold look on his face alarmed her.
"If they're so eager to die, I'll oblige them!"
