Orochimaru had been looking perfectly relaxed, but barely two minutes later, he sensed that the presences from earlier were right in front of him.
He could not help thinking, What is going on with those two? Why are more people coming?
Orochimaru had not wanted to move at all.
But he needed to maintain his cover as a spy. If he did nothing now, he would probably come under suspicion.
With that in mind, Orochimaru jumped straight out of the bell tower window.
He was headed directly for a Kumogakure ninja's head.
The ninja reacted quickly. As soon as he felt the pressure from above, he accelerated.
With a swift dodge, he slipped out from under Orochimaru's foot.
Watching the Kumogakure ninja about to get past him, Orochimaru frowned, bit hard into his thumb, formed Hand Seals, and roared, "Summoning Technique!"
The instant the words left his mouth, a giant snake appeared out of thin air, stretching across the path of the Leiying Village ninja.
It blocked their way completely.
One of them had nearly made it past, only to be whipped back by Manda's tail.
He tumbled several times through the air before using both hands and feet to stop himself from flying backward.
They all wore masks, so their expressions were hidden. One thing was clear, though: none of them was happy.
One of the ninja stood up and looked at Orochimaru. "We have no intention of staying here. Please move aside!"
Standing atop Manda's head and looking down at them, Orochimaru was about to ask why they had not stopped when called if they had not meant to intrude.
But before he could speak, Nagato and Yahiko arrived.
Yahiko stepped in front of Orochimaru, looking a little nervous. "Who are you? You only want to pass through
