But Uchiha Yin instinctively felt that saying it aloud would end badly.
So even though the words were on the tip of his tongue, he swallowed them.

Before he could finish, Anko suddenly sat up, looking ready for a fight.

As she said it, her face twisted into a pained expression.
Uchiha Yin was so exasperated he almost laughed. He curled his index finger and rapped her on the head!
"What are you thinking? I just wanted to tell you that Kurotsuchi is a hostage sent by Iwagakure. Stop picking on her all the time!"
Anko was startled to hear that, but she didn't want to let Uchiha Yin have his way so easily.
She immediately curled her lip and pretended not to believe him.
"I bet you just want to protect her, Master Yin. That hostage story is only an excuse!"
One look at Anko's expression told Uchiha Yin she wasn't truly angry anymore.
He relaxed at once.
"Come on, don't sulk. Kurotsuchi is a clever, sensible girl. I hope you two can get along and spare me a little worry!"
With that, Uchiha Yin planted his hand over Anko's face and gave it a couple of vigorous rubs.
Anko knew Master Yin would never play favorites. At most, he sometimes had too much on his plate to pay attention to her.
But knowing that didn't stop her from feeling jealous.
She couldn't help wanting to act spoiled with Master Yin so he would pay attention to her.
