"Tell me!"
Uchiha Yin tightened his arms around Konan slightly.
"It's nothing," Konan said softly. "I just keep feeling like something terrible is going to happen. I was worried about you, so I wanted to see you!"
Her words filled Uchiha Yin with happiness, and he grinned.
"Sweetheart, you've been so good. How about a reward? What do you want?"
As he spoke, Uchiha Yin rested his chin on Konan's shoulder, feeling a wave of exhaustion.
After all, looking after a child all the time was no easy job.
Konan thought for a while before saying cautiously, "I want to go back for a visit!"
She paused, then added, "To see Nagato and the others. I'm a little worried!"
Uchiha Yin froze. Before this, he would never have stopped Konan from going back.
But according to Orochimaru's intelligence, Amegakure was in dire straits.
If he let Konan go back now, Uchiha Yin feared she would want to stay and help them.
Yet he didn't want to see that worried look on her face if he refused.
More than anything, Uchiha Yin was afraid she might be in danger.
So he didn't agree right away.
Konan watched his expression and assumed the trip was off. Disappointment showed plainly on her face.
Seeing her like that made Uchiha Yin's heart ache.
At last, he said, "All right. If you want to go back for a visit, I'll go with you!"
Konan stared at him in shock. "Really?"
The disbelief on her face made Uchiha Yin's heart ache all over again.
Konan had chosen to return to Konoha with him so they could be together, yet he had barely made time for her. He really hadn't been fair to her.
With that thought, Uchiha Yin nodded firmly.
