"Bury him? There's no need."
Nagato walked up to Orochimaru and stared at him. "I don't know what you've been researching lately, but I have my own way to bring Yahiko back to life!"
As he spoke, there was an almost fanatical look on Nagato's face.
Orochimaru stared at him in shock. "How?"
Orochimaru had been researching exactly this sort of thing. Now someone was telling him he could do it.
Of course he was curious, so he asked Nagato outright.
Nagato looked proud. "Just wait and see!"
With that, he vanished from the Clock Tower in a flash. He did not even spare the girl a proper glance as he passed her.
After Nagato left, Orochimaru sent word to Uchiha Yin.
In Konoha, Uchiha Yin was having tea with Konan. The moment he received the message, his whole body went rigid, and he nearly lost control of his expression.
Konan noticed and looked at him curiously, but Uchiha Yin showed no sign of letting her see the message.
Her curiosity slowly gave way to dread. That familiar feeling of panic crept back into her heart.
Uchiha Yin knew Konan. If she learned Yahiko was dead, she would probably rush straight back to Amegakure.
And if she did, things would likely end badly for her.
The thought alone was enough to make Uchiha Yin resolve not to let that happen.
His expression turned cold. He shifted the hand holding the note, and a flame sprang up, burning the small scrap of paper to ash.
"Some things are not for you to know!"
His face was so cold as he spoke that Konan almost felt as though she were his enemy.
She knew Uchiha Yin loved her, but she did not dare try to coax him now.
She could only nod
