Uchiha Yin looked at her in surprise and asked, "You don't resent it?"
His question seemed to leave Uchiha Izumi at a loss. She took a moment before answering.
"No. I have the Sharingan, but I'm still not very good at using it. And whenever I think about how I awakened these eyes because my father died, it hurts. So even if I can't train them, I don't mind."
Uchiha Izumi was beautiful, with delicate features. Sorrow filled her eyes, though she wore a smile.
The smile did nothing to ease her sadness. If anything, the way she forced it made her even more heartbreaking to look at.
Uchiha Yin immediately said, "If those eyes carry your father's life within them, wouldn't throwing them away be a waste? Train hard and make the most of them. You could think of it as fighting alongside your father!"
Uchiha Izumi clearly hadn't expected him to say that. Her expression froze, and she seemed to sink into thought.
Uchiha Yin stood quietly beside her, encouragement written across his face.
He understood the Sharingan well. What had happened could not be undone, no matter how deeply she grieved. She might as well learn to make use of the eyes she had awakened.
She could think of them as her late father protecting her.
Two minutes later, Uchiha Izumi spoke, a trace of bitterness in her voice. "Lord Yin, you're right. But no one has taught me how to use it!"
As she spoke, she touched her eyes, her gaze full of longing.
Uchiha Yin paused. "If you truly want to learn, I can help you. But you must promise to train hard!"
Delight lit up Izumi's face. "Really? Lord Yin, I promise I'll train diligently!"
Overjoyed, she reached out and grabbed Uchiha Yin's arm.
