At that moment, Obito stood inside his Barrier above the woods on the outskirts of Amegakure. The figure beside him was almost invisible. It was none other than Black Zetsu.
Black Zetsu and White Zetsu seemed to have separated. The figure before Obito was nothing but a mass of pitch-black darkness: Black Zetsu.
Zetsu had spent a long time prowling the outskirts of Konoha before finally finding a way in.

Black Zetsu had not reported directly to Nagato for one simple reason: Zetsu had never truly intended to submit to him.
His earlier show of obedience had only been for appearances, to keep Nagato from interfering too much and make it easier to act.
Now that Obito had heard Zetsu's report, his expression turned grave.
He had originally planned to extract the Nine-Tails' Chakra to summon the Ten-Tails.
But now he saw a chance to deal Uchiha Yin a devastating blow.
With Uchiha Yin's strength, failing to seize this chance to eliminate him would only invite endless trouble later.
Obito made up his mind. He would bring Uchiha Yin down.
