Uchiha Itachi did not seem surprised by Uchiha Yin's approach. He obediently went over and sat down.
But he still looked tense. "Lord Yin, I'm sorry. I'll make sure we train more rigorously from now on!"
Uchiha Yin sighed softly. "It isn't entirely their fault that they failed to notice the intruder in time. Whoever came has always been exceptionally good at hiding their tracks."
Itachi was deeply moved. A superior who showed this much understanding was hard to come by.
Even so, Itachi did not believe that absolved him of responsibility. "Yes. We'll do everything we can to improve our sensory abilities!"
Yin hardly knew whether to laugh or cry at Itachi's response. After a moment, he held back his smile and said solemnly, "All right. Thanks for your efforts, then."
He patted Itachi on the shoulder, stood, and prepared to leave.
Itachi hurriedly rose to see him out. When they reached the door, Yin wiped the warmth from his face and put on a stern expression.
The ANBU shinobi looked terrified, but Yin said nothing and simply left.
Only then did everyone breathe a sigh of relief. For a moment, they had almost thought their end had come!
Uzuki Yugao watched Yin walk away. After a moment's thought, she followed him out.
With Yin's keen senses, he naturally knew she was there. He waited to see what Yugao wanted.
To his surprise, she just kept following him. He felt utterly helpless.
With a sigh, he stopped and turned to face Yugao. She had her head lowered, and he simply stood there watching her without a word.
