The system seemed to know what she was thinking. It smiled and said, "Don't worry. I'm only monitoring the mission's progress. I have no interest in your private life. If I wanted to do anything else, I wouldn't have waited until now!"
Uchiha Izumi knew the system was telling the truth, but that didn't mean she could simply shake off the uncomfortable feeling.
When Izumi said nothing, the system continued, "It's fine. You'll get used to it sooner or later. You've completed the mission, so your rewards are All Attributes +1, Sharingan proficiency +1, and Charm +1!"
It paused briefly. "Your next mission is to go on a date alone with Uchiha Yin! The rewards for success are All Attributes +1, Sharingan proficiency +1, and Chakra control proficiency +1!"
The system fell silent after that, leaving Izumi standing there in a daze, her face flushed and a silly smile on her downturned face.
It took Izumi a while to come back to herself. Then she headed toward the Uchiha Clan residence with a delighted smile.
She had wanted the rewards from the previous mission, at least in part. This time, Izumi would have wanted to complete the mission even without any reward.
After all, going on a date alone with the person she loved was something Izumi had dreamed of for ages.
Yin, the other person at the heart of it all, had no idea. After taking Kurotsuchi back, he headed to Mikoto's room.
He had settled things with Kurotsuchi, but he hadn't forgotten that the troublemaker was probably still laughing to herself. He had to give her a little punishment, or she might pull another stunt without learning her lesson.
With that in mind, Yin used the Body Flicker Technique. When he reappeared, he was in Uchiha Mikoto's room.
