Still, he had tacitly allowed the girl to harbor those feelings for him, so Samui's accusation was not entirely unfair.

Uchiha Yin normally disliked speaking that way, but Samui had undoubtedly left him speechless today. If he did not regain a little ground, he would lose all dignity.
Samui promptly shut her mouth. She knew when to back down. As satisfying as it was to get a few barbs in, angering the man before her would do her no good.
Seeing that Samui had fallen silent, Uchiha Yin finally breathed a sigh of relief. "Why did you agree to be the envoy this time?"
Caught off guard by Uchiha Yin's sudden question, Samui could not quite process it at first. She did not know what he meant.
But that lasted only an instant. Before she could even blink, Samui understood what Uchiha Yin was asking.
The moment she understood, surprise washed over her. She had never expected Uchiha Yin to know that she had not actually wanted to come.
But things had already reached this point, and those details no longer mattered much to Samui. She sighed softly and said, "I'm from Kumogakure!"
That simple sentence carried a great deal of helplessness. Without even raising his head, Uchiha Yin replied, "But you're harming your village!"
Samui's whole body trembled slightly at his words. She had known that all along, but she had never confronted herself
