When Tsunade reached the door, she hesitated. The excitement that had filled her moments ago suddenly faded.
After all, she had dreamed of a moment like this more than once, but it had never actually happened.
What if she was imagining it again?
Despite her hesitation, the fierce longing to see him drove her forward.
Before Tsunade could decide what to do, she had already reached out and pulled the door open on instinct.
The door opened with a click, and there stood the man she held closest to her heart, the sunlight at his back.
She could barely make out his features against the light, but she clearly saw his lips curve into a gentle smile.
Uchiha Yin stood there with his arms folded, watching Tsunade stare at him in astonishment.
He chuckled. "What's wrong? Still half asleep?"
At the sound of his voice, Tsunade finally snapped out of it. Only then did she notice another intense gaze fixed on her.
Puzzled, she looked down and saw an adorable girl in a cheongsam, her hair tied in two buns, standing a couple of steps away.
The girl twisted the corner of her clothes as though she had done something wrong, too afraid even to look up.
Tsunade was still trying to make sense of it. Just as she was about to ask Uchiha Yin what was going on, the young girl spoke first.
"Lady Tsunade, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to disturb your rest!" She even bowed respectfully in apology.
Seeing Tenten on the verge of tears, Tsunade panicked. Her irritation at being woken and her joy at seeing Uchiha Yin both faded at once.
She hurried over and crouched in front of Tenten, gently wiping the tears from the girl's face. "It's all right. I'm not angry,
