Uchiha Yin made no attempt to hide it. He took a sip of tea and said, "I thought you'd gotten so good you could even make pastries now. Turns out they were ready-made!"
Yin had never forgotten Tsunade's cooking. The taste was nothing to write home about.
So when Tsunade had brought out the pastries, he'd been genuinely surprised.
Tsunade watched Yin laugh so hard he nearly doubled over, her face burning with anger.
"Yin, you'd better just drink your tea!" Her voice was fierce, as though she might pick a fight with him at any moment.
Yin looked entirely unbothered. "All right, all right. I'll shut up!"
Only then did the anger on Tsunade's face ease. She suddenly remembered that her fierce outburst might have frightened Tenten.
She hurriedly looked down at the girl, ready to comfort her.
But instead of the frightened expression she expected, she found Tenten gazing at her in admiration.
The contrast left Tsunade baffled. "Aren't you afraid of me?"
Tenten shook her little head vigorously. "No! Lady Tsunade is amazing. You even dare to scold Lord Hokage! Nobody else in the village does!"
Yin nearly choked on his tea.
What was with this little girl? She already had such dangerous ideas at her age. What would become of her?
Tsunade froze for a moment, then burst out laughing. She stroked Tenten's head and said with wholehearted approval,
"Then you should be brave too. There's nothing to be afraid of with him!" She pointed at Yin, laughing so hard she could barely catch her breath.
Tenten didn't understand why Lady Tsunade was laughing like that, but she took her words firmly to heart.
She nodded with solemn determination. "Yes, Lady Tsunade! I'll remember! Someday I'll become a ninja as amazing as you!"
