Hyuga Hiashi stared out the window, his face dazed.
Hinata called "Father" twice before Hyuga Hiashi came back to himself. "What is it?"
Though her father seemed strange, Hinata did not ask. She said softly, "Father, why didn't Samui come today? Didn't she say she'd visit me every day from now on?"
Hyuga Hiashi was surprised by how attached Hinata had become to the ninja from Kumogakure, but he said nothing about it. "I heard Miss Samui went to the Hokage Office today. I imagine she was working there."
At the word "working," Hinata's face fell. She remembered how work had kept her father from spending time with her.

Hinata's eyes flew wide. Hardly able to believe it, she pushed herself up and leaned toward Hyuga Hiashi. "Father, really?"
