Uchiha Itachi looked baffled. "But Lord Yin, we failed our mission this time!"
Uchiha Yin stared at him as if he were an idiot. "I know. All three Otsutsuki are skilled in Space-Time Ninjutsu. It would've been stranger if you'd managed to keep up with me!"
Only then did Uchiha Itachi realize that Uchiha Yin had never expected them to succeed. He had said it just to make sure they took the task seriously.
His expression turned complicated. He had no idea what to say, and in the end, he just looked moved.
"I've assigned fifteen people to patrol the village and keep the villagers safe. The six-person tracking team is searching the woods right now!"
Uchiha Yin nodded. "They're not there anymore. Call the team back and have them watch the village closely. Those three are probably already inside!"
His face darkened as he spoke. If those three dared lay a hand on anyone in the village, he wouldn't hesitate to tear their home apart.
Uchiha Itachi left at once to carry out the order.
Only Uchiha Yin and Kaguya remained in the ANBU office.
"We won't accomplish much by staying here. Let's go out!"
Kaguya glanced around, unable to sit still.
Uchiha Yin had been thinking the same thing; Kaguya had simply said it first.
Both of them had exceptional senses. If they went out and looked around, they might run into those three.
More importantly, they needed to find Hinata and stay close enough to protect her. She was those three's main target.
As long as they stayed with her, the three Otsutsuki would show themselves sooner or later.
With that in mind, Uchiha Yin took Kaguya in his arms and headed straight for the Hyuga Clan's Residence. It was still early; Hinata might be at home.
