Samui felt a flash of annoyance with herself. How had she forgotten that those two had extraordinary sensory abilities? They had probably detected her when she was still half a kilometer from the office building.
Kurotsuchi had no idea anyone else would be here, let alone someone she had never met. She knew Master Yin had many women around him, but she had not met them all. She had never imagined one of them would be so beautiful.
Thinking that Master Yin had spent the past several days away from home with someone so beautiful made Kurotsuchi's heart ache in a way she could not describe. The lunchbox in her hand suddenly felt impossibly heavy. She almost wanted to shove it at Samui and leave.
But she had not seen Master Yin in days, and the gentle smile on his face was enough to make her forget that weight. She smiled back at him.
The moment Kaguya saw Samui, her expression turned distinctly unfriendly. She showed little reaction to Kurotsuchi, giving her only a glance. She knew Yin had taken on another student, and this child was probably the one.
Samui kept her cool expression and spoke directly to Uchiha Yin, ignoring Kaguya. "Lord Yin, you haven't eaten all day, and you don't have time to go home for dinner, so Kurotsuchi and I brought you a meal!"
She turned and gave Kurotsuchi a signal. Kurotsuchi hurriedly set the lunchbox in front of Uchiha Yin and said, her head lowered, "Master Yin, everything was just made. We came straight here, so it should still be warm!"
She glanced up at Kaguya, then added, "There's plenty inside. Enough for two people."
By the time she finished, her expression had dimmed.
Uchiha Yin noticed at once and felt a pang of guilt.
