He had barely dried himself off. Steam rose from his body, carrying a distinctly masculine scent that made her cheeks warm.
Samui hadn't noticed at first. But when Uchiha Yin stepped fully into the room, she saw his perfect physique in the moonlight. Water droplets clung to him, and a bath towel was barely wrapped around his waist, hanging as if it might fall at any moment. She couldn't tear her eyes away.
Samui swallowed hard and forced herself to look away from his dangerously distracting body.
Uchiha Yin had known Samui was in his room before he came in, so seeing her there didn't surprise him.
He sat casually on the bed, legs slightly apart, and rested his elbows on them as he faced Samui. "Did you need something?"
Only then did Samui remember why she had come. She turned toward him, only to find his face unexpectedly close. The sudden sight of his handsome features left her dazed for a moment. She lowered her head in embarrassment. "I wanted to ask how Chu Tian is doing!"
Uchiha Yin straightened slightly, amusement on his face. "I'm back, so naturally he's fine!"
He steadied his breathing and said lightly, "Is that all you came to ask? Perhaps you could also explain what happened yesterday!"
His words instantly brought back the memory of her confession. Her already flushed face grew even redder. If the lights had been on, it would have been plain to see. Samui froze without saying a word.
Uchiha Yin had no intention of letting her off. "Didn't you say you liked me and wanted to pursue me? Yet you came here only to ask about that child. You haven't shown any concern for me at all. Now I'm starting to wonder whether you meant what you said!"
