As they gathered firewood, the three girls began making plans. Sakura picked up a large branch and weighed it in her hand. "We have an Earth Scroll right now, so we need to get a Heaven Scroll before we arrive. But we have absolutely no idea who has one!"
Ino paused at that. "In other words, we might fight a whole battle without getting what we need, and then we'll still have to deal with attacks that could come at any time!"
Hinata looked troubled too. After thinking for a moment, she said, "It would be best if we could seize a Heaven Scroll, but if we can't, perhaps we could try trading with someone!" She paused before continuing, "But first, we need to keep an eye on them. We can't rush in before we understand the situation!"
The relaxed expressions vanished from Sakura's and Ino's faces. "Mm, understood. We have enough firewood now, so let's head back!" With that, the three children returned to their campsite beside the stream.
Once they arrived, they left Ino to start the fire while Sakura and Hinata went to fetch water from the stream and catch a couple of fish along the way. Although they had all brought Soldier Pills, those things really didn't taste very good. They were only useful for filling an empty stomach.
The two girls immediately got into position to put their plan into action. Each took a few Shuriken from her Ninja Tool Pouch. Although the weather wasn't cold, neither intended to get into the water to catch fish by hand.
Both girls had fairly good aim with their Shuriken, but the water kept interfering, leaving their throws just short of the mark. After quite some time, they had only caught one fish.
