Kushina Uzumaki's face turned bright red. She pounded Uchiha Yin's chest and spoke.

Only then did she realize she had inadvertently shared an indirect kiss with him.

Her cheeks burned, and remembering how Yin had licked the chopsticks made her want to hide her face.

Yet Kushina was happy, too. Yin no longer seemed as distant with her as he had before.

That was another change in Uchiha Yin that day.

Now that he had become Tsunade's apprentice, he had her backing. Under the watchful eyes of Tsunade and the Hokage Lineage, surely no one would keep him under surveillance anymore?

And as things stood, he should be safe as long as he didn't do anything reckless.

After thinking it through, Yin's attitude toward Kushina changed. There was no need to keep pretending to be cold.

He could relax, without so much pressure weighing on him.

Besides, teasing Kushina like this felt pretty good.

Yin set down his lunchbox, caught Kushina's hand, and stared straight into her eyes.

Under his gaze, Kushina's cheeks grew hotter still. But stubborn as she was, she suppressed her shyness and met his stare without backing down.

The early summer breeze seemed to carry a wisp of crimson cloud down from the sky. It brushed Kushina's brows, swept past her eyes, and left a vivid blush on her jade-white cheeks.

Chapter 33: A Kiss

Her waist-length hair, delicate little face, and arched brows all suggested that this young girl would grow into a breathtaking beauty.

For now, she was still a child, her womanly beauty yet to emerge, but she was already adorable.

Her slightly chubby cheeks glowed pink, and her expression was stubborn.

Her softly pouting lips seemed to shine with a rosy light, making them all the more enticing.

Without hesitation, Yin leaned in and kissed her, tasting their tempting sweetness.

Sweet, cool, soft, and yielding.

Soft and sweet as marshmallow.

Surprise flashed across Kushina's face. Then she cried, "Ah!" and ran off.

Kushina might have been fiery and unwilling to lose, but she was still a young girl. Of course she could feel shy.

Yin's sudden move had plainly been more than she could handle, so she fled.

"Yin, you big jerk! How could you kiss me out of nowhere? That was my first kiss!!"

Kushina ran into the hallway outside the classroom, cupping her cheeks as she went.

Despite her words, there was no rejection in her expression. Instead, she looked a little sweetly pleased.

Remembering that electric feeling, she smiled sweetly, almost dreamily.

The instant their lips had touched, a warm current had seemed to run through her body. It had felt wonderfully pleasant.

How dare he steal a kiss? I'll get him back next time.
