"What do you think, Uncle?"

Uchiha Yin did not know what Uchiha Zhi thought, so he could not carelessly speak his mind. If Uchiha Zhi despised Tsunade, that would be a problem.

So Uchiha Yin tossed the question back to him.

"I think you were absolutely right to become Tsunade's apprentice, Yin."

Uchiha Zhi burst out laughing.

Seeing Uchiha Yin's stunned expression, Uchiha Zhi went on.

"You really have grown up, kid. You've even learned to hide your feelings and test me to see what I think?"

"That makes me a little sad, but I'm happy too. You're much stronger than you used to be."

"Yin, you can make your own decisions. I won't stand in your way. Just know that I'll always have your back. Whatever you decide, I'll support you."

Uchiha Zhi's expression turned serious. He opened his eyes and looked directly at Uchiha Yin as he spoke.

Uchiha Yin fell silent. Through the Mind's Eye of the Kagura, he sensed nothing but goodwill from Uchiha Zhi, without the slightest trace of malice.

Uchiha Yin quietly switched off the Mind's Eye of the Kagura and said solemnly, "Thank you, Uncle."

"Come on, kid. You don't have to be so formal with me. We're family." Uchiha Zhi's familiar foxlike smile returned.

"Yeah. We're family. Thank you, Uncle." Uchiha Yin smiled.

"Speaking of family, Yin, have you thought about making us even closer? My daughter Mikoto is quite pretty. Marry her, and you could call me Dad. I'd love that." Uchiha Zhi was all smiles, but his words made Uchiha Yin spit out all the water in his mouth.

"Cough, cough." Uchiha Yin sputtered.

"Oh, Yin, there's no need to get so excited. Look at you."

"Dad, what are you saying?"
