"Stop arguing. Once the dust settles, we'll know who's stronger, won't we?"
No Konoha Ninja were competing in this match, so the spectators watched without any pressure.
The Sand Ninja, on the other hand, were frowning, while those from Kirigakure looked completely at ease.
Clearly, they could all see that Ringo Ameyuri had the upper hand.
The dust slowly cleared, revealing Ringo Ameyuri and Karura.
One was unhurt, without so much as a wrinkle in her clothes. The other was panting, her clothes marked by electrical burns.
Clearly, Karura had come off worse in that clash.
"I'm going to win," Ringo Ameyuri declared proudly. She raised her chin and held Kiba before her once more.
Then she pushed off the ground and charged at Karura.
Lightning enveloped the entire length of Kiba.
Boosted by Lightning Release, Ringo Ameyuri closed in on Karura at tremendous speed.
Karura gritted her teeth as she watched Ringo Ameyuri approach.
She specialized in Wind Release, while her opponent specialized in Lightning Release. Yet even with the elemental advantage, the Wind Release attack she had just unleashed had been no match for her opponent's lightning.
Clearly, her opponent was at least one level above her—at least a Jonin.
Karura was the weakest member of the Sand Ninja team. Like Sara, she was only at the level of a special Jonin.
Under normal circumstances, Karura was not a combative Ninja. Once she knew she was outmatched, she would have surrendered without hesitation.
But now, she could not bring herself to say the words.
Karura glanced toward Uchiha Yin in the stands and took a deep breath.
That's right. Surrendering in front of Uchiha Yin would be too humiliating. I don't want to do it, and I won't!
*The longer I stay on this "stage," the longer Uchiha
