Chapter 341: Come Help Us, Yin
"Pakura, Karura, I know your hearts are with Uchiha Yin. But remember, you belong to Sunagakure," Rasa warned, apparently noticing their grim expressions.
"If you can't bring yourselves to attack Konoha, then either stay quietly in Sunagakure or go to the defensive line against Iwagakure," Ebizo said bluntly.
Pakura and Karura's expressions darkened further.
The morning meeting had barely ended when Sunagakure's leadership issued a proclamation at noon.
It condemned Konoha for the brutal murder of the Third Kazekage.
Just as in the original story, Sunagakure erupted. Its people believed the proclamation outright.
Konoha must have killed the Third Kazekage. More importantly, Konoha had to be blamed.
Unlike in the original story, however, the alleged killer was named.
"Avenge Sunagakure's Third Kazekage! Make Konoha hand over Uchiha Yin, that murderer!"
At the urging of people Rasa had deliberately planted in the crowd, Sunagakure rallied together. In less than half a day, it had assembled a massive fighting force.
Nearly the entire village was mobilized. At a single command from Rasa, its forces would march out in strength and catch Konoha off guard.
Karura and Pakura went to Karura's home together.
Neither looked happy.
"Damn it! Rasa and the others have gone too far."
"And the people who supported us before switched sides so quickly! It's infuriating," Karura said bitterly.
"That's normal. Politicians follow their interests. Four of the Five Great Shinobi Villages are joining forces against Konoha. With an opportunity like this, it's no surprise those leaders changed sides," Pakura said, her expression no better.
