From what Uchiha Yin knew of Anko, she did not seem like someone who would admit defeat so easily.
Rin and Kurenai, who knew Anko's personality well, also stared wide-eyed in disbelief.
Yin did not know why Anko had apologized on her own initiative or what she had in mind.
But he did not care.
He could deal with whatever came. There was no need to worry about it.
"Admitting your mistakes and correcting them is what matters. It's good that you owned up to yours."
"Anyway, I'm Uchiha Yin, your team leader from now on. Let's start over."
A warm smile appeared on Yin's face as he held out his hand to Anko.
His smooth, fair face had sharply defined features; his dark, deep-set eyes held a captivating gleam. His thick brows, straight nose, and perfectly shaped lips all spoke of nobility and elegance.
Yin was in the prime of his youth and strikingly handsome. Even Anko could find no fault with his looks.
At the sight of his warm, angelic smile, Anko froze.
The early summer breeze seemed to carry a rosy cloud down from the sky. It brushed her brows and swept past her eyes, leaving a vivid blush on her jade-white cheeks.
Anko was certainly not one to judge by appearances. If she were, she would not have taken out her bad mood on Yin when they first met.
Yet his smile still left her staring blankly.
"Hmph. I'm Anko. Nice to meet you."
Anko turned her head aside with a huff at the hand Yin offered, but her own hand reached out almost against her will and clasped his.
His hand is so warm. It feels so nice to hold.
*Damn it. That punishment from the system must have messed with my head. Why else
