For some reason, Kurenai even glanced at Uchiha Yin. Seeing him smile without a trace of anger, she felt relieved.
But for reasons she couldn't explain, she also felt a little disappointed.
Kurenai's politeness carried a natural distance.
It was as though a chasm lay between them.
Asuma's heart sank, and he gave an awkward smile.
Asuma might have been a rebellious boy, but that was only because he had a rebellious streak.
Feeling the girl he loved constantly keep him at arm's length hurt him deeply.
Uchiha Yin saw it all and chuckled to himself.
In the original story, Asuma would probably have left Konoha by now. Who would have thought he would become Minato Namikaze's student instead?
Uchiha Yin's arrival had not changed many of the major events in the original story, but it had altered quite a few small details.
As Uchiha Yin reflected on this, Kakashi walked over to him.
"Lord Yin, I, Kakashi, would like to fight one of your students."
Chapter 370: How Enviable
Kakashi approached Uchiha Yin with a solemn expression and spoke respectfully.
Everyone stared at Kakashi in surprise.
Minato Namikaze was about to stop Kakashi, but Obito spoke up first.
"Kakashi? What's that supposed to mean? You've fought on the battlefield, and now you want to bully a girl?" Obito pointed at Kakashi and shouted.
"Exactly," Asuma chimed in.
There was no doubt that Asuma was worried about Kurenai, while Obito was worried about Rin.
But what they had said was clearly off the mark.
The girls gave Obito and Asuma strange looks as soon as they spoke.
Weren't they looking down on them?
Kakashi ignored Obito's shouting and kept his eyes on Uchiha Yin, his gaze full of longing.
A flicker of surprise crossed Minato Namikaze's eyes.
Kakashi was proud.
