Looking at Uchiha Mikoto's smile, Uchiha Yin found it strangely hard to bring the matter up.
But some things had to be said. The longer he put it off, the more troublesome it would become.
"Mikoto, there's something I need to tell you," Uchiha Yin said, a little stiffly.
Just as when he had told Kushina about Mikoto earlier that day, he felt terribly awkward, even though this wasn't his first time doing it.
"What is it? Tell me." Mikoto noticed how uneasy Uchiha Yin looked, and for some reason, a bad feeling came over her.

At his words, the chopsticks in Uchiha Mikoto's hand trembled and fell onto the table.
Uchiha Mikoto looked as though she had been struck by lightning.
Tears welled in her eyes, visibly gathering as though she were about to cry.
Uchiha Yin quickly pulled his chair beside hers and wiped the tears from her face.
Before he could comfort her, Mikoto suddenly wrapped her arms around him and stared straight into his eyes.
Her eyes glistened with tears. She looked so vulnerable that Uchiha Yin's heart ached.
"I'm sorry, Mikoto, I..."
Seeing her like this, Uchiha Yin wanted to comfort her, but he didn't know what to say. In the end, his own selfishness was to blame.
"Yin, are you leaving me?" Uchiha Mikoto asked bleakly when she saw him hesitate.
"What? Of course not! Why would I leave you? Mikoto, what made you think that?"
Uchiha Yin had been ready for her to scold him. Her question caught him completely off guard.
"Really?" Tears clung to the corners of Uchiha Mikoto's eyes as she stared at him. It seemed they would spill over if his answer disappointed her.
"Of course.
