Chapter 442: Kazekage Pakura
If everyone had not known better, some might have suspected that Pakura was already the Fifth Kazekage.
With a crowd of senior officials in tow, Pakura swept up to Elder Luo Ji's office. No one dared stand in her way.
After making her way through the building, Pakura led the group straight to Elder Luo Ji's office.
As an elder, Luo Ji had a private office in the Kazekage Building.
Of course, it probably went unused much of the time.
Bang! Pakura kicked the door open and swept her beautiful eyes across the room. She immediately spotted a shriveled corpse slumped almost entirely against the chair.
"This is!"
At that moment, Sunagakure's senior officials understood everything.
Elder Luo Ji had been killed by those people long ago.
They had even left his corpse right in his office.
"The stench of a corpse... We thought Elder Luo Ji was making poison. Who would have thought!"
Sunagakure's senior officials were left speechless.
An occasional foul smell had drifted out of Luo Ji's office, but everyone had assumed he was experimenting with some sort of poison.
Luo Ji was also a Puppet Master, so making and testing poisons was perfectly normal. Yet no one had imagined that he had died right inside his own office.
"He's been dead for over a month," said Karura's younger brother, Yashamaru, a vicious expression appearing on his handsome face.
Thanks to his sister Karura's current standing, Yashamaru had also become one of Sunagakure's senior officials.
Of course, he wholeheartedly supported Karura becoming Uchiha Yin's wife and was firmly on her side.
"Damn it, who did this? Who exactly is our enemy?"
His voice was low, but it drew every senior official's attention.
Who was the enemy? In truth, neither Pakura nor Karura knew.
