At Mei Terumi's words, Uchiha Yin shook his head.
"No, Kirigakure's bloodline Ninja didn't offend Madara Uchiha. But they may have offended one of his pawns," Uchiha Yin said.
If he had guessed right, the two Ninja who had attacked Obito Uchiha back then were probably Kirigakure bloodline Ninja.
Otherwise, Obito would not have killed Kirigakure's bloodline Ninja to vent his anger.
Of course, Kirigakure's involvement in what happened to Rin was probably part of it too.
Obito had poured all his rage onto Kirigakure's bloodline Ninja.
Killing every Ninja in Kirigakure was impossible and would disrupt Madara Uchiha's plans. Killing only its bloodline Ninja would weaken the village without having much effect on those plans.
So Madara let Obito do it.
"In short, one of Madara Uchiha's pawns wanted to kill Kirigakure's bloodline Ninja to vent his anger, and Madara allowed it," Uchiha Yin said bluntly.
Mei Terumi trembled inwardly at his words.
If Madara Uchiha himself had held a grudge against Kirigakure's bloodline Ninja, that would have been one thing. At least they would have died because of Madara's anger.
Mei could have borne that a little better.
But now he was telling her that one of Madara's pawns had decided, out of anger, to wipe out Kirigakure's bloodline Ninja?
Wasn't that absurd?
Mei could not accept it.
Confusion showed on her face.
Uchiha Yin saw what she was feeling at a glance.
"In the Shinobi World, the victors rule and the defeated are at their mercy. Only those with power can control their own fate. If you were as strong as Madara Uchiha, none of this would have happened."
Uchiha Yin spoke calmly, offering Mei what comfort he could.
"I understand. Thank you."
As Mei listened, the lost look in her eyes faded, and color gradually returned
