The Raikage's usual arrogance had vanished.
By then, Uchiha Yin had reached the gates of Konoha.
Looking at the familiar place, Yin felt an inexplicable sense of belonging.
Just inside the gates, he spotted Anko wandering nearby with a bored expression.
Yin was delighted to see her. Coming out to welcome her husband home was a fine habit.
He flashed behind her and swept her into his arms.
Startled, Anko struggled at once, trying to break free.
Yin tightened his hold around her and leaned close to her ear. After blowing gently into it, he said, "What, I've only been gone a little while, and you won't let me hold you anymore?"
Only then did Anko realize it was Yin. She couldn't hide the look on her face, but she still pretended to be angry and yanked his arms away. "Let go! When did I say you could hold me?"
Yin let go. With a headstrong princess, giving her a little space sometimes worked better than holding on tight.
He wrapped his arms around himself and said with a regretful look, "All right. If that's what you want, I won't hold you."
Anko clearly hadn't expected him to let go so easily. Before, he had always clung to her.
She felt strangely empty, but she refused to say so. After a hesitant sound, she glared at him and said, "You met another woman while you were away, didn't you?"
Yin found the way she changed the subject adorable. He couldn't resist teasing her.
"Yeah. She even asked me to hold her." He nodded as if to confirm it.
Anko felt ready to explode, but she thought better of it and forced herself to hold back.
She glared at Yin, then grabbed his arm and pulled it around her waist.
