Chapter Summaries

Obito learned that Rin was in danger and broke out of Madara Uchiha’s cave with White Zetsu’s help. He left to save her, while Madara predicted that Obito would return.

• Obito tried to break through Madara Uchiha’s boulder, but the force tore apart White Zetsu’s cells.
• White Zetsu offered to cover Obito with its body so he could use its strength.
• Obito punched the boulder and shattered it, then pulled the roots connected to his body free.
• Obito told Madara Uchiha he was leaving to save Rin and did not expect to return.
• Madara Uchiha told Obito that he would come back and later offer his true gratitude.

Obito Uchiha left Madara Uchiha and asked White Zetsu to guide him to Rin and the others. As Minato Namikaze’s group met Kushina’s team and mourned Obito’s reported death, a massive sword suddenly attacked Minato.

• Obito Uchiha asked White Zetsu to use its clones’ intelligence network to lead him to Rin and the others.
• Kushina told Minato Namikaze that the Sunagakure front was settled and her group had come to support him.
• Asuma told Anko that Obito had been killed in action, and the group grieved for their fallen friend.
• Minato Namikaze urged everyone to carry on for their fallen comrades.
• Kushina warned Minato Namikaze of a massive sword, and he blocked it with a Flying Thunder God Kunai before sending it back to its wielder.

Kushina and Minato Namikaze were ambushed by the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and a large force of Mist Ninja. Kushina discovered that Suikazan Fuguki’s Samehada could absorb her Chakra, while Minato remained pinned down by several swordsmen.

• Juzo Biwa confronted Minato Namikaze and revealed that the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist had come with a large force of Mist Ninja.
• The Mist Ninja split up the Konoha group, preventing Kushina and Minato Namikaze from regrouping with their allies.
• Kushina transformed her Chakra into a blue dragon and knocked Juzo Biwa aside while demanding to know the Mist Ninja’s goal.
• Suikazan Fuguki attacked Kushina with Samehada, and she evaded it after realizing the sword could absorb Chakra.
• Several of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist joined forces against Minato Namikaze, while Suikazan Fuguki kept Kushina occupied.

Mist Ninja abducted Rin after breaking the barrier on her Bracelet, and Kakashi pursued them but lost their trail. He searched the footprints with his Sharingan, determined to find Rin and keep his promise to Obito.

• Rin fought off the Mist Ninja, who revealed they wanted her as the Three-Tails Jinchūriki.
• A Mist Ninja broke the Bracelet's barrier with a specially made Kunai, and another put Rin into a deep sleep with Genjutsu.
• The Mist Ninja concealed Rin in the Hidden Mist Technique and carried her away.

Madara Uchiha arranged for the Mist Ninja to seal Isobu into Rin and broke the Barrier on her Space Bracelet. Uchiha Yin sensed the move but chose to help Karura and Pakura first, confident Rin was not yet in danger.

• Madara Uchiha controlled Isobu so the Mist Ninja could seal the Three-Tails into Rin without resistance.
• Uchiha Yin sensed that the Barrier on Rin's Space Bracelet had shattered.

Kakashi rescued Rin from the Mist Ninja, but she sensed that something had been placed inside her. As they fled, Rin remembered what had happened while she was under genjutsu.

• Kakashi rescued a group of Konoha Ninja, then followed his summoned dogs to find Rin.

Rin learned that Kirigakure had made her the Three-Tails Jinchūriki and planned to use her to destroy Konoha. Determined not to hurt Uchiha Yin or Konoha, she asked Kakashi to kill her.

• Rin panicked after learning Kirigakure planned to send her back to Konoha and release the Three-Tails there.

• Uchiha Yin told Pakura and Karura that Madara Uchiha had likely controlled the Third Mizukage and said he would take them to the Sunagakure camp before leaving to help Rin.
• Karura agreed that they would join the fight, while the Third Mizukage attacked Uchiha Yin and the women with the Great Waterfall Technique.
• Advent of a World of Trees absorbed the Third Mizukage’s torrent, and Uchiha Yin said he would finish the Mist Ninja quickly.
• Uchiha Yin’s Wood Clones vanished, leading the Mist Ninja to believe the Third Mizukage had won.

Uchiha Yin gathered immense Chakra and Natural Energy as he prepared to destroy the Mist Ninja with one technique. Pakura and Karura watched in awe, while the chapter left the attack’s result unrevealed.

• Uchiha Yin’s Chakra overwhelmed the Mist Ninja, leaving some wounded or unconscious.
• The Elite Jonin recognized Uchiha Yin’s power, and the Third Mizukage feared the attack he was preparing.
• Uchiha Yin declared he would finish everyone with one move and invoked Wood Release: Advent of a World of Flowering Trees.
• Pakura and Karura marveled at Uchiha Yin’s strength from behind his protection.

Uchiha Yin wiped out the Mist Ninja forces and killed the Third Mizukage with a lightning attack. Deep underground, Madara Uchiha received the Mizukage’s memories and learned that Uchiha Yin had surpassed Super Kage Level.

Madara reflected on Uchiha Yin and hinted that his second plan would cause someone unbearable pain. Yin returned Karura and Pakura to the Sunagakure camp, then rushed away when Rin’s bracelet sent a life-threatening alert.

• Madara said he wished he and Uchiha Yin had been born in the same era and looked forward to fighting him someday.
• Madara told Black Zetsu that he had a second plan and that he and Yin might meet again in ten or twenty years.

Pakura and Karura resolved to find the spy among them and take a harder line against Sunagakure's elders. Meanwhile, Rin faced death as Kakashi's Chidori neared her chest, regretting that she could not tell Master Yin she loved him.

• Pakura said they needed to find the spy who had revealed their movements and plans.

Uchiha Yin saved Rin from Kakashi's Chidori, and she woke believing she had died. After Yin reassured her, Rin realized she was alive and cried with relief.

• Uchiha Yin shook Rin awake as she lay unconscious in his arms.

• Uchiha Yin wondered whether Obito might fall into darkness after seeing him with Rin, but felt no guilt because Rin had never loved Obito.
• Obito saw Uchiha Yin block Kakashi’s Lightning Blade and was overwhelmed with joy.
