As the title says, Black Myth officially releases tomorrow, and I can hardly wait.
For Chinese players, Black Myth is a milestone as China's first AAA game.
But it means something extraordinary to me, too.
The inspiration for this book came from an early Black Myth demo.
When I watched a demo playthrough, there was a scorpion demon called the Venomous Enemy King.
He lay on a rooftop drinking. If you didn't break his wine jar, he wouldn't attack you.
I immediately thought that making the protagonist a hostile NPC who survived by staying on good terms with the players would be a great premise.
I put the idea into action, and in the first draft, the protagonist was the leader of a band of outlaws.
Then I hit a wall over the moral issues and couldn't figure out how to approach the story.
After playing through Aventurine's storyline in Honkai: Star Rail and replaying 2077, I realized that a low-level corporate drone would make a good starting point.
That was how this book came to be in April this year.
For all sorts of reasons, I can hardly settle my thoughts. All I can do is try my best to keep updating without a break.
Tomorrow's schedule:

8:30: Eat breakfast.
9:00: Bathe and change clothes.
9:30: Light incense and clear my mind.
