While Nasr and Malai were discussing problems at the front, a tall Flame Sprite hurried over.
"Reporting to the commander-in-chief! A large-scale uprising has broken out in the armaments factories on Planet 14."
"At least fifteen thousand workers were seduced and corrupted by Demons of Desire, and they blew up our vital Northern Shell Factory!"
Malai's heart lurched at the news, but the commander's expression remained unchanged.
"Understood. Have the Faith Department and the Ashen Enforcers handle it."
Seeing that the commander remained calm and confident, the panicked Flame Sprite relaxed as well.

After the Flame Sprite left, Nasr frowned slightly. "Something's wrong. We've already planted Ember Trees on those planets behind our lines."
"Under the protection of divine fire, ordinary Void Abyss corruption shouldn't be able to infiltrate remotely so easily!"
Malai's brow furrowed. "Keeping the factories behind our lines stable is our top priority for the coming battles."
"We already have Faith Department personnel stationed there. How could an uprising of this scale still happen?"
Nasr analyzed the situation. "There are plenty of possible causes."
"It could be spies who've been lying low for years, or contamination from Void Abyss turbulence."
"Or some people might have suffered mental breakdowns under the enormous pressure..."
"But none of those would trigger an uprising of this scale so quickly."
Nasr bit a lip, then a sharp gleam suddenly flashed in Nasr's eyes.
"We may have to prepare for the worst."
Malai's expression turned grave. "You mean..."
"They've found a vulnerability in our communications and are spreading corruption through special communication devices?"
Nasr nodded grimly. "At the moment, that seems to be the only possibility."
