"Hey, mister, what are you making? It smells good!"
While Xu Mu was talking with Hoopa, Serena poked her little head into the kitchen.
As the saying went, the way to a woman's heart was through her stomach.
Xu Mu had been busy these past few days, but whenever he found time to cook, the results spoke for themselves!
Cynthia had been won over early.
Serena was a more recent convert to his cooking.
Now, if she went a day without something delicious from Xu Mu, she felt miserable all over.
Xu Mu didn't waste words. He pointed to the eggs beside him and said, "Omurice!"
Serena's big eyes lit up at once!
"Yay! Thanks for the effort, mister!"
Well brought up as she was, Serena knew to thank the person who cooked for her. (Get your minds out of the gutter!)
"What are you thanking me for? Go play. Hoopa just talked me out of a lot of money, so play some games with him. I'll call you when dinner's ready."
Hoopa stared blankly at Xu Mu.
He didn't mind playing games with Serena.
After spending the past few days with her, he'd grown fond of the sweet little girl.
But what had Xu Mu just said?
That Hoopa had swindled him out of a lot of money?
That wasn't right!
Hadn't the money come from Cynthia's account?
Did Xu Mu think Hoopa didn't know?
"Hoopa! Xu Mu's a bad person!"
Puffing out his cheeks, Hoopa floated away and joined Serena to play games.
He decided he wouldn't speak to Xu Mu for half an hour!
If he did, he lost!
Meals didn't count, though...
Hoopa barely needed to eat, but he had a particular weakness for Xu Mu's cooking.
He couldn't resist it at all.
