The Secret Realm couldn't hold on anymore?
What was that supposed to mean?
If it couldn't hold on, why not destroy it?
It wouldn't be the first Secret Realm they'd destroyed. How had Dad managed to get himself trapped inside one?
Dad was such a headache. He never seemed to do anything sensible, just give people more to worry about.
"Can't we destroy it?"
Xu Mu asked.
Xiao Yuyang had expected that to be Xu Mu's first reaction. He hurriedly said,
"If we could, do you think we'd be in this situation?"
"The Borderlands are a barrier between us and that other world, a buffer zone!"
"We can't enter the world on the other side of the Borderlands for now, but we can use the Borderlands to defend ourselves."
"Without that Secret Realm, we'd be leaving ourselves completely exposed to the enemy!"
"Then Team Rocket and the other evil organizations could attack us however they pleased."
Xiao Yuyang's explanation made sense.
Xu Mu sighed regretfully. So close.
He'd almost gotten to set off fireworks again...
"All right, I understand. What should I do, Grandpa?"
Xu Mu thought it over. If Xiao Yuyang had called him, he must need him to do something.
If this were just an update, couldn't Mom have told me?
"Nothing. I'll let Dragonite rest, then send him over to you. We're keeping a close eye on the Borderlands and will let you know as soon as we hear anything."
"I just wanted to tell you first so you wouldn't worry when you heard it from someone else."
"There's nothing wrong inside the Secret Realm. Your Six Divine Birds are still there, and Xiaofeng isn't an idiot. He should be able to hold out for a while."
Xu Mu nodded slowly as Xiao
