When Xu Mu heard Kale's words, he felt a sudden surge of smug satisfaction.
He said to Kale,
"We don't need a meeting!"
"Meetings are pointless!"
Kale looked at Xu Mu in confusion. "Why aren't we holding one?"
Xu Mu looked straight at Kale and declared,
"Hold a meeting? Not a chance!"
"Not in this lifetime!"
Kale heard him loud and clear.
He could only look helpless.
Xu Mu had always been lazy like this.
No one could talk him out of it.
Kale had no choice.
He said to Xu Mu,
"Then I'll announce the Plan when the time comes."
Xu Mu nodded.
That was exactly the outcome he wanted.
He said nothing more.
Kale gave him another helpless look.
Xu Mu shook his head.
Then he walked out.
Kale watched him leave.
He shook his head helplessly.
Without another word,
he turned and left too.
After Xu Mu saw Misty and Jessie off,
he looked over Kale's Plan.
He figured he had nothing else to do.
So he summoned Arceus,
climbed onto his back,
and said, "Let's go!"
"Let's head home!"
At Xu Mu's words, Arceus teleported them straight back to their marked destination.
Once inside his house,
Xu Mu hurried into his bedroom.
Cynthia was still asleep.
Looking at her,
Xu Mu couldn't help envying her.
How nice.
She could just keep sleeping.
He, on the other hand,
had been forced to get up.
With that thought, Xu Mu took his clothes off again,
lay down on the bed,
and went to sleep.
By the time Xu Mu woke again,
Cynthia had long since gotten up.
There was no special reason for it.
Xu Mu had simply gotten up early,
while Cynthia had slept until she woke naturally.
Xu Mu looked around.
Cynthia was nowhere
