After taking Xu Mu and Cynthia away, Kale sat on his Garchomp's back and had the two of them ride Pidgeot.
"Tell me what happened."
Kale put on a stern face as he asked.
Xu Mu thought for a moment and decided to explain what had happened as tactfully as he could.
His future father-in-law had come all this way to help, after all. Xu Mu didn't want him to feel useless; the old man cared about saving face.
"They tried to steal Xu Mu's Little Lugia, so Xu Mu beat them into submission..."
Seeing Xu Mu's gloomy expression, Cynthia thought he was still angry and quickly stepped in to explain.
Ouch. That went straight through Kale's heart!
When it came to hurting him, no one did it quite like his own daughter!
Inside, his heart was bleeding. Outside, he kept his expression perfectly calm.

The little creature in Xu Mu's arms had dark skin and exquisitely delicate features. Kale couldn't help taking another look.

"I picked the winning side. Dark Lugia used Self-Destruct and took the entire Meteor Falls Secret Realm and everyone in it down too."
"Before he died, he left this little guy with me and told me his name was Loki."
Xu Mu explained the events to Kale as briefly as he could.
Kale clicked his tongue, at a loss for words.
"Last time, in the Viridian Wilds, wasn't it because of you and Entei that your dad killed those people?"
Xu Mu nodded. It was true: the people who
