Xu Feng felt as though he were inside an extraordinarily warm space, above, below, and all around him—the "Vastness of the Ten Directions" Master had spoken of.

That warmth was righteous energy.

The gods were protecting him on every side. His [Yin Virtue Favor] had taken effect. Taking advantage of that warmth, Xu Feng said, "Master, I'm letting go!"

"Good!" Master said.

Xu Feng saw Master plant the straw figure in the ground before he let go and reached for the Large Needle in the satchel beside him.

Like a sugar figurine, the straw figure had a wooden stick beneath it. The stick had been driven deep into the ground.
