Ch. 1Transmigration

Ryan transmigrated into the infant son of The Boys’ villain and realized he would grow up with powerful superpowers. He was left with his mother in a secluded villa, where he resolved to develop both his body and abilities.

  • A woman brought Ryan and his mother to a secluded villa, telling them to stay there so they could hide from someone.
  • Ryan’s mother recognized that the villa was effectively a prison, though its isolation also brought her relief.
  • Ryan remembered dying after an accident in his rented apartment and realized he had transmigrated into the world of The Boys.
  • Ryan recognized himself as the villain’s son and resolved to grow stronger and train his inherited superpowers.

Ch. 2Fate

At four years old, Ryan lived in isolation with his mother, Becca, while waiting to develop the superpowers he believed he inherited from his father. He went into the woods alone to begin training, determined to escape the walls surrounding his home.

  • Ryan watched the seasons change from his window and joked with Becca, who warned him not to climb onto the windowsill.
  • Ryan asked Becca about his father, and she said the man was dead; Ryan recalled her bitter remarks about him.
  • Ryan ate breakfast, collected the sandwiches Becca packed, and headed into the woods to play alone.
  • After walking deeper into the woods and finding no sign of Becca or surveillance cameras, Ryan prepared to train his superpowers.
  • Ryan vowed he would not remain trapped and trusted that his father's blood would give him the power to protect himself.

Ch. 3Superpowers

Ryan tried to awaken the laser eyes inherited from his biological father, Homelander, and discovered that anger could trigger them. After accidentally blasting a hole through a tree, he planned to practice until he could control the power.

  • Ryan recalled that Homelander was his biological father and decided to develop his laser eyes.
  • After staring at an ant failed to produce a laser, Ryan ate Becca's mustard-filled sandwich and tried to make himself angry.
  • Ryan grew furious thinking about spoilers and NTR, then fired a blue beam from his eyes that burned a hole through a tree.
  • Ryan worried about the power's danger but rejoiced at its strength and planned to grow stronger while staying low-key.
  • Ryan tried to fire his laser eyes on command, failed, and resolved to practice until he could use the power calmly.

Ch. 4Training

Ryan practiced his Laser Eyes, discovered a new vision power he called See-Eye, and realized a yellow wall trapped him and Becca inside their area. Over the following months, he trained until he could fire his lasers at will.

  • Ryan practiced his anger-triggered Laser Eyes until sunset, gaining a chance to fire them while calm but remaining unable to control their intensity.
  • Ryan returned home, where Becca worried over his absence and shared dinner and conversation with him.
  • Ryan asked Becca for a movie to make him angry, then went to shower as she fretted about him going out again.
  • Ryan used his newly awakened vision to see a yellow wall enclosing the area, named the power See-Eye, and resolved to grow stronger and escape.
  • Over the following months, Ryan trained in the woods until he could fire blue beams from his eyes at will, vaporizing raindrops.

Ch. 5Laser Eyes

Ryan mastered Laser Eyes, discovered his body was becoming more durable and that another power was awakening, then returned home and reassured Becca after she worried about him. He studied Vought International’s book about its superheroes and ended the evening promising Becca he was not leaving.

  • Ryan tested his newly mastered Laser Eyes and found that his beams could not pierce his arm at their current strength.
  • Ryan returned home without his clothes, lied to Becca about how they were ruined, and apologized for making her worry.
  • Ryan invited Becca to go out with him the next day, easing her anger.
  • Ryan read about Vought International and its seven celebrity superheroes, including Homelander and The Deep.
  • Becca brought Ryan fruit and joked about him leaving her alone, and Ryan promised he was not going anywhere.

Ch. 6Costume

Ryan began planning a superhero identity, then discovered he could fly and practiced until he crossed the walls surrounding the estate. He reached the city and, thrilled to be back in ordinary society, decided to stay out and enjoy it, though he needed money.

  • Ryan considered making a superhero costume and choosing a name, but could not think of a suitable one.
  • Becca spent a day picnicking with Ryan, then watched him leave the next morning and struggled with their stalled relationship.
  • Ryan discovered that he could fly, fell while trying to adjust his posture, and kept practicing until he gained control.
  • Ryan flew beyond the estate walls and traveled through the clouds before landing in the city at sunset.
  • Ryan recognized A-Train on a billboard, entered the crowd, and decided to stay out and experience ordinary life, but realized he needed money.

Ch. 7City

Ryan robbed street thugs for money, then stopped A-Train from killing a child when the speedster crashed into him. After slipping away from A-Train’s teammates, Ryan found Bruce Wayne among homeless men in an alley and wondered whether he had entered another world.

  • Ryan beat several young men who tried to rob him and took their wallets, then bought a pastry at a shop.
  • Ryan spotted A-Train running through the city, raced ahead of him, and waited near an intersection.
  • A-Train crashed into Ryan instead of a child and was impaled by a steel bar when he bounced into a building wall.
  • Ryan tried to help the badly injured A-Train, then fled when one of A-Train’s teammates arrived.
  • Ryan walked through the alleys and recognized Bruce Wayne among a group of homeless men.

Ch. 8Wandering

Ryan encountered Bruce Wayne while warming himself at a barrel fire in a Gotham alley, where Wayne explained his plan to learn martial arts and reform the city. After leaving Wayne with an offer of help for a price, Ryan flew above Gotham to survey the city.

  • Ryan bought a homeless man's place by the fire, then knocked him away when he refused to move.
  • Bruce Wayne asked Ryan why he was living on the streets, and Ryan learned that the city was Gotham.
  • Wayne said he planned to travel the world, learn martial arts, and return to change Gotham, while Ryan recognized him as the future Batman.
  • Ryan asked Wayne to feed his coat to the fire, but Wayne refused and offered to help with Ryan's supposed debts.
  • Ryan left the alley after offering Wayne help at thirty percent above market price, then flew over Gotham and surveyed the city with his far-seeing vision.

Ch. 9Night Market

Ryan discovered that The Deep’s dockside bust of smugglers was a staged Vought International production, then forced him to catch a fish. Ryan wondered whether Vought would try to recruit or destroy him as a Metahuman beyond its control.

  • Ryan spotted a suspicious cargo unloading near the harbor and flew there to investigate.
  • Ryan realized Vought International was filming The Deep in a scripted operation with fake smugglers and staged heroics.
  • Ryan confronted The Deep about the performance, and The Deep threatened him to protect his reputation.
  • Ryan threw The Deep into the sea and made him catch a croaker, while The Deep feared the boy’s resemblance to Homelander.
  • Ryan considered that Vought might eventually try to recruit or destroy him because he was a Metahuman outside its control.

Ch. 10Croaker

Ryan returned to Becca after fishing, hid his growing powers, and resolved to train for a future fight with Homelander. Years passed as he and Becca settled into a mother-son routine, until a helicopter visitor arrived at their home.

  • The Deep finally caught a Croaker, then returned to shore and cursed Ryan after finding he had been left behind.
  • Ryan flew home, found Becca locked out, and tore the door and part of the wall away so they could enter the villa.
  • Ryan reflected on his growing powers and Homelander’s strength, then decided to train harder and learn combat techniques.
  • Ryan and Becca resumed their daily routine, and several years passed as Ryan grew toward adulthood.
  • During lunch, Ryan sensed someone arriving by helicopter outside their home.

Ch. 11Vought International

Madelyn recruited Ryan to join Vought International’s superhero team, The Seven, and Ryan left the villa with her for the company’s headquarters. As they flew away, he asked Madelyn to help Becca if she ever chose to leave.

  • Madelyn arrived at Becca’s villa and had her bodyguards take Becca outside so she could speak privately with Ryan.
  • Ryan made Madelyn wash his plate before she introduced herself as Vought International’s vice president.
  • Madelyn offered Ryan a place in The Seven, explaining that Vought wanted him to keep Homelander in check, and Ryan agreed to leave with her.
  • Ryan reassured Becca before boarding Madelyn’s helicopter and asked Madelyn to provide Becca with money, housing, and a job if she wanted to leave.

Ch. 12Vought International

Ryan arrived at Vought International’s Seven Tower to join the Seven and learned that Homelander was away for several weeks. After Ryan took Homelander’s seat, tensions rose with A-Train, and The Deep moved before A-Train could start a fight.

  • Madelyn brought Ryan to the Seven Tower and warned him that Homelander was the strongest member of the Seven and would need keeping in check.
  • Madelyn introduced Ryan to A-Train, who recognized him as the person who had injured him and objected to him joining the Seven.
  • Ryan sat in Homelander’s seat and refused to move when A-Train warned that Homelander would kill him.
  • Madelyn left Ryan and A-Train to get acquainted, while A-Train considered attacking Ryan.
  • The Deep acted before A-Train could move.

Ch. 13The Superhero Deep

Ryan asserted control over The Seven by overpowering The Deep, then met Hughie in a video store and learned about Robin’s death and Vought International’s attempt to silence him. The chapter ended with Ryan recommending The Lion King to Hughie, who still wanted justice for Robin.

  • The Deep claimed he was in charge of The Seven and tried to win Ryan over with a banana, so Ryan overturned the conference table and pinned him beneath it.
  • The Deep apologized and agreed to obey Ryan, while A-Train offered Ryan his chair and later accepted Ryan’s order to clean up and take The Deep to the Infirmary.
  • Ryan left Vought International, browsed shops with Madelyn’s purchase card, and entered a video store where Hughie introduced himself.
  • Hughie told Ryan that A-Train had killed Robin and that Vought International had offered him money to stay silent; Hughie said he planned to sue.
  • Ryan criticized A-Train’s incompetence and Vought International’s heartlessness, then warned Hughie about his stare and recommended The Lion King.

Ch. 14The Lion King

Ryan encouraged Hughie to keep fighting for justice for Robin, then returned to Vought Tower and received accommodations from Madelyn. After checking out his remote villa, Ryan concluded that his powers could grow no further until his body matured.

  • Ryan turned down Hughie's suggestion to watch a movie, encouraged him to pursue Robin's case, and cautioned that asking for a raise might not work.
  • Ryan returned to Seven Tower, where a staff member asked him to meet Madelyn; he refused to go to her, so she came to see him.
  • Madelyn gave Ryan keys to a room in Seven Tower and a suburban villa, along with a phone.
  • Ryan flew to the villa, checked its utilities and furnishings, and found the remote house livable but unappealing.
  • Ryan returned to Seven Tower, used a computer, and decided his powers could only grow stronger as his body matured.

Ch. 15Superpowers

Ryan met Hughie at the video store, where Billy recruited him to plant a listening device in the Seven Tower and expose Homelander. Billy then invited Ryan and Hughie to see what superheroes did at night, and Ryan left with them despite objecting to spying.

  • Ryan ate dinner with Hughie, then visited the video store to watch Hughie's recommended movie.
  • Billy arrived, painfully squeezed Hughie's hand, and confronted him about avenging his girlfriend, who A-Train had killed.
  • Billy asked Hughie to plant a listening device beneath the Seven Tower conference table, but Hughie resisted, fearing the consequences.
  • Ryan learned what a blood slave was, then watched Billy and Hughie argue until Billy punched Hughie to stop the dispute.
  • Billy voiced his hatred of Homelander and invited Ryan and Hughie to see superheroes' nighttime activities, and Ryan followed despite objecting.

Ch. 16Nightlife

Billy took Ryan and Hughie to a nightclub frequented by superheroes and showed them surveillance footage. Ryan learned about Ezekiel and the club's connection to Vought before noticing that the footage came from a private room.

  • Ryan asked Billy to let him drive, but Billy refused and drove him and Hughie to a nightclub instead.
  • Hughie recognized Ezekiel, a rubber-bodied superhero who worked in publicity for Vought International, embracing women with his elongated arm.
  • Billy explained that superheroes used the club to indulge without paparazzi seeing them and complained that Homelander gave him little to use against him.
  • Billy revealed that he had brought Hughie to show him surveillance footage, and Ryan realized the camera was in a private room.

Ch. 17Spending

Billy showed Ryan footage of A-Train admitting he had killed Hughie's girlfriend, then tasked Hughie with investigating A-Train, but Hughie fled in fear. Ryan later went to Iowa to bring Annie to Seven Tower as a new member of The Seven, and asked to see her powers.

  • Billy showed Ryan and Hughie a recording of A-Train joking about running down a woman, and explained that A-Train's account of the incident had been false.
  • Billy told Hughie to plant a bug and investigate what A-Train had really been doing, but Hughie ran away before Billy could persuade him.
  • Ryan returned to Seven Tower, read Madelyn's request to bring Annie to New York, and flew to her home in Iowa the next morning.
  • Ryan told Annie she would join The Seven, and she eagerly shared her dream of becoming a superhero with him and her mother.
  • After Annie's mother welcomed Ryan, he asked Annie to show him her powers and led her outside.

Ch. 18Annie's Superpowers

Ryan tested Annie's light-emitting powers and told her to report to The Seven the next day. He returned to the Seven Tower and met more of its members, including Black Noir and Translucent.

  • Ryan asked Annie to demonstrate her powers, and she introduced herself as Starlight, able to emit dazzling light.
  • Ryan ate lunch with Annie and her mother, then told Annie to report to The Seven by the next day as a test.
  • Ryan flew back to the Seven Tower and found The Deep, A-Train, Black Noir, and Translucent seated around a new conference table.
  • Translucent welcomed Ryan, who told him to put on clothes, and the two traded remarks about nudity and body hair.

Ch. 19Translucent

Ryan beat Translucent after learning about his voyeurism, then met the newly arrived Starlight and attended a Seven meeting. The meeting began with Lamplighter’s retirement and a discussion of the heroes’ publicized good deeds, which A-Train was about to describe.

  • Ryan kicked Translucent until he was badly injured, then ordered A-Train to carry him to the infirmary.
  • The Deep told Ryan that The Seven would meet the morning after tomorrow, and Ryan said he might attend.
  • Starlight arrived at the Seven Tower and tried to make conversation with Ryan, who gave brief answers and walked away.
  • At the Seven meeting, Ryan told Translucent to turn invisible, then took the central seat and remarked that hot water could burn an esophagus.
  • The Deep explained that the meeting would cover Lamplighter’s retirement and the heroes’ good deeds, then described how he had tied an unauthorized fishing boat to a whale.
  • A-Train picked up the next script to describe his own deeds.

Ch. 20A-Train

Ryan sat through The Seven’s meeting before staying as A-Train met Hughie, the man whose girlfriend he had killed, to apologize. A-Train offered a perfunctory condolence, leaving Hughie to face him across the conference room.

  • A-Train complained about his billboard, Translucent tried to share his spying, and Black Noir described violently interrogating bank robbers.
  • Ryan adjourned the meeting, called the Supes wonderful only as a courtesy, and challenged The Deep before The Deep fled.
  • A-Train stayed behind because Vought’s Legal department required him to apologize in person to Hughie for killing Robin.
  • Ryan encouraged Hughie to sit across from A-Train and listen to the apology.
  • Hughie asked whether A-Train had anything to say about Robin’s death, and A-Train offered condolences while claiming to feel remorse.
