Back on Street, Annan let Della take over driving the Carriage and climbed inside.
"Martin, Augusta Olmedo isn't our friend. Stay away from him."
Martin, who had been lovingly licking his Iron Sword to enchant it, looked up. "Who's Augusta?"
"He's... the one who made you run off."
Annan patiently explained the danger, threatened him with Mr. Fast, and tempted him with good food. In the end, Martin's answer was: "I refuse."
Martin had two legs of his own. He could go wherever he wanted.
Annan couldn't exactly lock him in the Basement.
"Martin, I'm thinking of bringing Aunt Susan and Uncle Holin to Breeze City," Annan said seriously.
"Really? That's great!"
"I think so too. There are plenty of trees at the Manor, so Uncle Holin will make you chop them down. Aunt Susan will probably bring her broom, too. I bet your backside misses it..."
The joy vanished from Martin's face. "Cousin, I don't think the food and beds at the Manor would be good for Aunt Susan's health."
Martin was always remarkably clever at times like this.
"I think so too, but only Aunt Susan and Uncle Holin can stop you from running around..."
"I'll never leave home!"
The Carriage passed the crowd outside the Manor again and returned to the Manor.
A Carriage from the Lundsay Family was parked outside. Francois had come to see him.
"Annan, something's happened."
Annan's gaze snapped toward the Carriage—Martin was still inside.
After telling the Head Maid to keep an eye on Martin until he returned to his room, Annan went to the Study with Francois.
"Look at this... It's appeared in the black market and some Taverns."
Francois placed a Magic Stone on the desk. Flickering images appeared in the air—Annan saw the Abandoned Manor, along with himself and
