Land of Eternal Night, Stuart Family.
After the long war against the Rikaner Kingdom finally ended, Annan used the delivery of gifts as an excuse to visit the Land of Eternal Night. He escaped a mountain of government affairs and thanked the Scarlet Queen for her help.
He also showed the vampires of the Land of Eternal Night that Free City and the Stuart Family stood together.
There were some unfamiliar faces in the Castle. The Scarlet Queen said that family members and Servants scattered across the land had been climbing out of their coffins one after another. To them, Annan was the unfamiliar face.
After the welcoming banquet, the Scarlet Queen led Annan away from the guests for a stroll along the lakeside walkway beneath the full moon.
An impossibly old Servants pushed the Scarlet Queen's wheelchair behind them.
Annan and Lena walked ahead. Lena skipped along, then stumbled and twisted her ankle. Annan hurriedly caught her, and the two leaned against each other.
Behind them, the Scarlet Queen, Selenao, couldn't help laughing. Her daughter had raced around the Castle for centuries. How could she possibly trip?
As Lena fell against Annan, she seized the chance to bite his neck. He blocked her with a practiced hand.
Lena's fangs brushed his palm. It tickled like holding out a little fish for Lily.
"How long are you staying?" Lena asked.
"Not too long."
Annan pushed Lena's head away and looked back at the Scarlet Queen, who had stopped by the lake. "Go have fun. I need to talk to your mother."
"Oh..."
Lena answered and bounded off after a flock of bats flying across the night sky. Then she suddenly looked back.
Was something about that strange?
A breeze stirred a soft rustle among the leaves.
Standing beside the
