"What does Mr. Skeleton King play? It can't be percussion, can it?" Annan joked, only for the man himself to overhear him.

"If you can hear my voice, why wouldn't you be able to hear my music?"

Annan went as meek as Cathy when Mr. Swaro caught her.

"Do you have time?"

"What do you need me for? Do you want me to compose a theme for your Magic Film?" Soulfire flickered in the Skeleton King's eye sockets.

"Something even more important. I'm holding an Opera Singer Contest..."

Annan explained it all again. When he finished, the Skeleton King murmured, "Interesting. I'd be willing to serve as a Judge."

"That's wonderful!"

That made all five judges: Annan himself, Falu, Bailey Knight, a Siren, and the Skeleton King. They represented the organizer, the living, the Academy, Foreign Races, and the dead.

Annan did not know whether the lineup carried enough weight, but no one could accuse "Everyone's Singer"
