Dragons didn't retain their dragon forms' features when they became human. Red Dragons didn't have to be red, Golden Dragons didn't have to be gold, and Silver Dragons didn't have to be silver... But she was unmistakably a Black Dragon.
Annan had only seen a Black Dragon, the strongest and most mysterious of the evil Chromatic Dragons, in one of Tina's illusions.
Did he want one? Of course he did. Black Dragons could go toe-to-toe with Golden Dragons, the strongest of all dragons.
"Believe it or not, I'm Annan Reeves." Annan sat down beside the Black Dragon, looking casual despite his deliberate choice of seat.

"Filthy Succubus. Did I give you permission to sit with me?" the tall woman in black asked coldly.
The Abyss Demon, the Four-Armed Snake Demon, and the demons around them immediately settled in to watch the show.
Annan didn't budge. "Let me correct you. First, I'm not filthy. I bathe three times a day, always with soap made in Free City. It keeps me smelling fresh and moisturizes my skin. Flies slip when they land on me, and mosquitoes end up doing the splits."
"Second, this is a tavern. I'm a customer, so I can sit wherever I like. I could ride on the Four-Handed Bee Demon's neck and he couldn't stop me. Neither can you."
"Ahem... I'd have to stop you if you went that far," the Four-Handed Bee Demon muttered.
The woman in black ignored his argument. A Succubus had dared to tease her? Her dark gray pupils narrowed into vertical slits, and a terrifying wave of Dragon Might surged toward Annan alone.
