To give Beludona free rein to be as devious, underhanded, and vicious as she liked, Annan tested the waters. Pointing to the detailed intelligence they had gathered at the Tavern, he said, "Filth Nest is a rare conjoined Ratfolk. One body houses four separate minds. According to our intelligence, they argue constantly and hate one another. They also have a fatal weakness...
"Could we use that to drive a wedge between them and make them kill one another?"
Beludona gave him an approving look. "Skullcrusher has a nasty temper. We could deliberately provoke him into attacking other Ratfolk and getting disqualified."
"And Terror Knight and Flayer!" Annan said excitedly. "Terror Knight is cruel and arrogant, while Flayer is arrogant and cruel. We could make them beat each other bloody."
"Rotting Tyrant loves to eat, so we'll make him a bowl of Nurgle soup that's guaranteed to kill him!" Annan gave a sinister chuckle. "The way they die will be so unusual that even if the McKennan Ratfolk get suspicious, they won't have grounds to accuse us."
"That's you all over." Beludona applauded.
Annan snapped out of it. "It's not me. It's this damned Succubus Bloodline!"
To outsiders, Filth Nest was a single entity. It just looked a little strange: a bloated, tangled, twisted body with four legs, six hands, and four heads, rather like a two-headed Ogre. Except it argued four times as often as one... or was it twice as often?
To Filth Nest itself, though, each of them had a mind and a name of their own: Daphnel, Raffiro, Michelangelo, and Donatelli.
