Silly Cat had not lashed out during the day because Annan had failed to build her a Church. She was angry with herself—she could not protect her Believers, or even herself. Reestablishing her Church in Free City would only shift the trouble onto Annan.
At the thought, Annan's Black Eyes softened, becoming as gentle as Idelia's. He stroked Silly Cat's head. "Then rebuild it in Free City."
