Annan returned to the Professors’ Lounge at Solz Magic Academy late that night, carrying the scent of wine.

It wasn't his. The smell had rubbed off on him from the noblewomen who had been drinking. The next day hadn't arrived yet, so his Mage Robe couldn't cast the Cleaning Spell again.

Lily padded over with her tail held high. “Did you drink Tang Tang?”

“What’s Tang Tang?”

“People who’ve had Tang Tang throw up in alleys. The cats say it’s tasty Tang Tang.”

Many poor people in Siltovis still went hungry. The animals had it even worse.

Annan stroked Lily's upturned head with a pang of sympathy, then picked up the stack of Land Deeds in the living room. "Are you settling in here?"

"It's so big! Cats like windowsills. The sunshine feels lovely and warm, and I can watch the little people walking around in the garden." As soon as Annan sat down, Lily curled up on his lap and began to purr.

There were a little over twenty land deeds in the stack, all of them now Annan's. Together, they probably weren't worth even five thousand Gold Narls. The hard part had been acquiring the land deeds to an entire street.

Two Magic Shops, an inn, and ordinary shops made up the rest. Once renovated, the Street would become Diagon Alley.

After putting away the Land Deeds, Annan took out the blank Pioneer's Warrant. The Apocalypse Forecast was tomorrow. What would happen if he acquired his Territory today?

Forget it... Annan agreed with the wise Ogre's saying: "Don't play with your food."

Then Annan emptied his Magic Ring. It held nine cashboxes, eight of them filled with a thousand Gold Coins apiece. There was also a promissory note from Ellie for ten thousand Gold
